Played through dancing means that at least significant part of the game is expressed exclusively by dancing.

Dance is used to tell the story of character and as means of communication between character. It can be based on specific dance as i.e. Tango Argentino or Blues vernacular dance, or work with free (contact) improvisation. Choice of dance (and of course music fitting to it) is basically like choice of language used for communication. Chosen dance and music usually strongly influences mood of the game and type of stories expressed by it.

This technique is used in Dance Macabre (used dance is Tango Argentino) and Valley of Shadow (Blues vernacular dance). Basics of the chosen dance are thought during pre-game workshops.
