Erlend Eidsem Hansen (September 18, 1972 in Oslo) is a Norwegian larpwright and documentary filmmaker.
He lives in Oslo, Norway. He is the father of 2 sons.

Background

He has grown up in the 70ies and 80ies Eastenders Oslo surrounded by a workingclass, whitetrash environment. Equal to many other norwegians Erlend has gone through the classjourney from workingclass to cultural academic upper middleclass during the economic oilboom of Norway during the 80ies and 90ies. This means that he worked in a chocolatefactory when he was 18 years, but that he now is thoroughly educated and works as a filmdirector. As a consequence, Erlend has 10-15 years of education more than anyone in his family that is older than him. When it comes to explaining larp to people not familiar with the concept, this teaches a few lessons, but also gives a few prejudices to other acedemically oriented people.

(this might not be very cosher way to write wiki, but lets face it, this is what we got, and it´s subjective, so why deny it..)

Building Dramatics - Susanne Gräslund - (while she organised Knappenålshovudet) - http://fate.laiv.org/pub/build_dram.htm

Role-Playing as Interactive Construction of Subjective Diegesis - http://www.laivforum.dk/kp03_book/classics/dogma99.pdf - cryptic article from a young Montola and Stenros - but it´s the origin of the Diegesis term

Although it should be made clear that practical people more into larpmaking and film-making might approve more of the explanation between diegetic and non-diegetic sound here: http://filmsound.org/terminology/diegetic.htm (then you would have to make the analogy over to the larp-media yourself, but reading this, you should be capable of that already.)

The Multi-tier Game Immersion Theory - J. Tuomas Harviainen - useless for gamedesigners - avoid it unless you love sidetracks and want to know read everything
