'''Some Kind of Metal''' is a black box larp that allows players to play out a fictional band biopic.
Through a structured process the players create and name their own characters and bands. The first choice is which music genre (thrash, punk, glam, power, rock) their band plays. They also choose which songs they wish to perform during the larp.
Play is structured in acts. In the three acts the players choose from a variety of pre-written scenes and play them out and in the process making choices about what actually happened. The acts are divided by (and the larp ends with) concerts, where the players perform, air guitar/drum/bass and lip-synch their chosen songs. When not performing themselves, players act as audience for the other bands.
