When this template is applied without a parameter,

the page is automatically sorted into [[:Category:Non-free comic images]] which has several subcategories though, regarding specific publishers or series. To sort a file into a subcategory without populating the top category "Non-free comic images", use the template with a parameter, e.g.
<code><nowiki>{{Non-free comic | Eclipse Comics images}}</nowiki></code> .
