The Retreat is a black box larp.

The players portray people attending a weekend retreat in a self-development group. Unbeknownst to them, the group is a cult, and the retreat has the goal of procuring members for it.

During the retreat, the participants know they will go through a number of exercises to help them achieve their goals. They are unaware that the exercises will become increasingly more demanding and transgressive, forcing them to confront deep-rooted fears and find out who they really are.
