Substituting this template creates a second-level section heading containing only the current month and year on a user talk page (the first-level heading being the title of the entire page). You can use that heading to create a section of an editor's user talk page to consolidate warnings dated the current month. This helps create clarity in the page's structure and table of contents, especially when the talk page has multiple warnings spanning several months and little other content.
