  1. ss is the 2-digit FIPS state code
  2. ppppp is the 5-digit FIPS place code

Example for Amanda (village), Ohio

  • Result: 39-01630

County subdivisions

  1. ss is the 2-digit FIPS state code
  2. ppppp is the 5-digit FIPS place code
  3. ccc is the 3-digit FIPS county code
