The roleplaying contract is a term introduced by Toni Sihvonen describing that once play has started (entering the Magic Circle), it is not justified to draw conculsions about the player based on the actions of the character, nor to draw conculsions on the character based on the actions of the player. In practice, this is an ideal rather than something that can be fully employed.
