Rulebooks are the products of communities that try to preserve themselves, to write their way of doing things in stone. Nordic larps are characterized by ambitious experiementation. The tradition is volatile. Fashions change anually. There is no typical or average larp. Game mechanics were scorned until someone came up with meta-techniques, and meta-techniques keep changing with every larp that use them.
