Larp Factory Jyväskylä is a community for larp enthusiasts that aims to promote and develop the larp scene in the region of Jyväskylä. Events organized by the community include larps and workshops. Scheduling of the larps and agreeing on organizers for those larps happens in bi-yearly meetups. Larp Factory Jyväskylä is officially a part of Maahinkainen ry, which is an organization involved in, among other things: boffer-fighting, historical dancing, board games, tabletop role-playing games, and larps.
History
The founding of Larp Factory Jyväskylä was inspired by the previously founded factories. Networking and idea-throwing of the would-be-organizers in the Autumn of 2014 led to the first games being run already in the beginning of 2015. First of the bi-yearly planning meet-ups was held in the January of 2015. In August 2015, workshops were first introduced as a part of the factory's activities.
