At the time this file was uploaded, the source website specified that this image was licensed under the free content license noted here. However, the source now specifies a more restrictive license (or no license at all). Free content licenses must be perpetual and non-revocable, meaning that this the previous license is still valid, regardless of any other assertions |
Use this template for odd situations where the licensing for an image at its source was previously a free license, but later changed to a non-free license, to alleviate confusion. Licenses are perpetual and non-revocable, meaning that that changing the license stated still allows the image to be subjected to its previous license, unless it was created and published after the change. Only use this for media that went from free to non-free at their source, and not the other way around.
Usage
For instance, if the website now specifies Creative Commons Attribution Share-Alike Non-Commercial 3.0 (CC-BY-SA-NC-3.0), call the template as{{License change|Creative Commons Attribution Share-Alike Non-Commercial 3.0}}.
The above documentation is transcluded from Template:License change/doc. (edit | history) Editors can experiment in this template's sandbox (create | mirror) and testcases (create) pages. Please add categories to the /doc subpage. Subpages of this template. |
