For [[{{{1}}}|{{{1}}}]] related articles needing an image or photograph, use {{Image requested|date=November 2024|{{{1}}}}}
in the talk page, which adds the article to [[:Category:Wikipedia requested images of {{{1}}}]].
If possible, please add request to an existing sub-category.
Usage
This template is used to give a common text to all the subject subcategories of Category:Wikipedia requested photographs. Just include {{Howtoreqphoto|first parameter}} at the top of the category page.
The first parameter is generally the full name for the subject as is used to create category names e.g. "cars".
additional parameters
|in=
- if describing an in=location image requested category|text=
(optional) - only needs to be put in if there is a shorter form that makes more sense in the main text.|link=
(optional) - only needs to be put in if the Wikipedia page on the subject has a different name from the first parameter or the text parameter.|portal=
- used if the related portal has a different name from the first parameter.|comcat=
- used if the related Commons category has a different name from the first parameter.|proj=
- used if the related Wikiproject has a different name from the first parameter.|win=
- adds Wikipedians in location may be able to help!
If another template can also place articles in the category this can be specified using:
|alttp=
- for the template name and|altpr=
- for the parameter syntax.|onlytp=
- If category is not to standard naming convention and set only by a template.
