; First parameter (id)
: The first parameter specifies the feature's identifying number. Alternatively, the number can be specified using <code>id=</code>.

; Second parameter (name)
: If supplied, the second parameter specifies the feature's name, which is used as the anchor text for the external link. Alternatively, the name can be specified using <code>name=</code>. If no name is supplied, the article name is used. The name parameter is useful to refer to a feature other than the topic of the article.
