This technique is often used in games where characters dies and the player wants to continue playing the game as different one. But it can be used as a an intended tool to emphasis some aspekts aspects of the story as for example the resemblance of characters. <br>

This technique was used in [[Cien Años de Soledad larp]] to emphasis the repetitivnes receptiveness of the story, which playes imporant plays an important role in the mood of the book the game was based on. As the story covers 100 years, there are many characters, which are quite similar to each other and share their fate. Each player played at least two different characters (some of them forfour), one after the other, designed to point out similarities and diferences differences between them.<br>
