Laivfabrikken Trondheim - Larp Factory Trondheim - is a Trondheim-based network of larp organizers who aim to produce one larp each month. The larps last less than a day, have high quality and a low threshold for participation. The coordination group in Trondheim wants to keep its local flavor and calls itself "gaffan" - as in gaffa tape - instead of "limet". The group consists of organizers and larpers who wish to contribute in the do-ocracy that is Laivfabrikken, and the size and members of the group differs through time. Each semester "gaffan" sets up a pitching forum where people pitch concepts and larp ideas, and collectively decide which larps go on the calendar.
History
Laivfabrikken Trondheim was created on the model of Laivfabrikken Oslo in May 2010. It was active in the beginning, but had a hibernation period through some of 2011. In 2012 it seems to be back on its feet again, and had a great success with Marcellos kjeller in February as well as other projects. The Trondheim branch of Laivfabrikken has run both its own original larps, and imported others.
