Homefront was a historical larp set in a British country manor acting as a convalescent home during the Second World War. The larp examined effects of the war on individuals and society, portraying both psychological and physical traumas as well as social transformation such as change in the status of women and liberalization of social norms. Homefront was divided into four acts, each portraying a specific period of the war: 1940 (Phoney war), 1941 (Blitz), 1942 (turn of the tide), and 1945 (outcomes of the war).

The characters were pre-written including patients and medical staff of the nursing home, local aristocrats, heroic pilots, and members of the Women's Land Army. A Black Box with lighting and sound equipment was used to play out scenes that happened in the war front; each character that had experiences from the front spent one act (from 1 to 3 depending on the arm of service) in the Black Box.
