Person within is a character development method based on taking or creating a fictional character and their story from a different context than the larp you are about to play, and use that person's mood, preferences and ideology to fill in any blanks or situations encountered during a larp, instead of falling back on using your own life, or a straight opposite of what you yourself would do.

The method was developed by Monica Hjort Traxl as a way to create a more diverse compass for character actions in larps that don't provide detailed character backstory or plot, and the player is expected to fill in the blanks themselves.
