Vreden was a pay and play larp about Russian conscripts during World War II.

Setting and Themes

The horrors of war and a totalitarian system.

Summary

Vreden was played two times; the first run had pre-written characters and the second run had the players writing their own characters. At the time, Vreden was considered a larp with very high production values; players were assigned complete uniforms, field gear and blank firing weapons, underground shelters and some hundred meters of trenches were dug, and the larp had several period vehicles and reenactment quality OPFOR.
