Martin “Spilmester Martin” Rauff-Nielsen is a Danish role-player, game designer, author, philosopher, historian, and musician. Rauff is nationally known as the character “Spilmester Martin”, who sends children off on quests into the magic realm called “Barda” in the eponymously named TV programme.

In 2007, Rauff co-authored the encyclopaedic “Politikens bog om rollespil” along with his younger brother, Anders Rauff-Nielsen. Martin Rauff-Nielsen has ties to the Danish convention Fastaval.
